Proud moment for RBC team when the Head of Culinary, Chef Shahril, along with two participants, Randy Bin Jeffrey and Andy Chong Kai Siong, flew off to Indonesia on the July 16th to represent RBC to compete in the 1st Asian Gourmet Food Challenge 2018 at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta from 18th to 20th of July 2018.
The food competition are hosted by the Association of Culinary Professionals Indonesia with the collaboration of PT. Pamerindo Indonesia, with 6 overseas teams around Asia Continent which includes Brunei, Malaysia, Thailand, South India, Cambodia and Myanmar. Each team will have to make 4-course Asian Gourmet Set Menu Competition from appetizer, soup and two kinds of main courses.
The competition will have WACS (World Association of Chefs Society) expert judges involved such as Richmond Lim; the Chief Culinary Officer Singapore Expo, Eddy Leung; President of the Hongkong Chefs Association, Jamnong Nirungsan; Thailand Chefs Association, Mentor President just to name a few.
